Supreme Court Justice
District Court Judge;
2026
* = Incumbent
In theory, Judicial races are nonpartisan but in reality, judicial candidates tend to be endorsed by the Republican or Democrat parties. Party endorsements are linked to.
IMORTANT; You can still have a voice in a race where someone is running unopposed. DO NOT IGNORE! If an incumbent candidate in a judicial race is running without an opponent, there will be an option of "Retain" or "Do Not Retain". If the candidate gets a majority "Retain" vote then that candidate remains in office for another term. If the majority vote is "Do Not Retain" then the incumbent judge serves out their term. The Montana Governor appoints a replacement that then must be confirmed by the Montana Senate.
